OSU’s Pope Pac-12 Freshman of the Week, Nov. 16

OSU release – CORVALLIS, Ore. – Oregon State guard Jordan Pope has been named Pac-12 Freshman of the Week, the conference office announced Monday. Pope opened his career as a Beaver with 19 points in OSU’s comeback win over Tulsa on Monday, the third-highest scoring output by a freshman in his debut in program history. That performance included a pair of big 3-pointers early in the second half to help spark the turnaround. The guard followed that up with 14 points, four rebounds, three assists and three steals on Friday vs. Florida A&M. Pope is currently tied for eighth among true freshmen in point per game with 16.5. The Oakley, Calif. native joins Glenn Taylor Jr. as Oregon State players to be named Freshman of the Week since the award was instituted in 2019-20.
