Industrial Harbor USA, LLC has purchased the former International Paper Mill site in Gardiner for an undisclosed amount of money. The Tacoma, WA based company completed the purchase of the 427-acre property on Tuesday, Nov. 15. Although the purchase price was not released, it was listed for sale at $10 million for the land and $12 million for the water rights. The industrial property is located adjacent to Hwy. 101 and the Umpqua River. It also has a rail connection. Specific plans for the development have not been released. IP abandoned the property in 1998. During its peak period up to 1,000 employees worked in the sawmill or paper mill at the site.
