The 14th-ranked Oregon volleyball team came away with a sweep in its home opener on Thursday night, taking down the University of Texas Rio-Grande Valley in straight sets, 25-16, 25-20, 25-17, to kick off the Oregon Classic at Matthew Knight Arena. .Oregon State (3-0) volleyball plays Friday, Sept. 1 against Alabama in Portland at the North Harbour Mariott Invitational. On Saturday, the Beavers play Fresno State at noon, and then Portland at 6 p.m. Oregon takes on Loyola Marymount, 8 p.m., and Saturday, Northern Illinois at noon.
