Oregon’s cross country teams opened the 2021 collegiate season Wednesday at the Lewis & Clark XC Opener at Portland. The Ducks Reed Brown won the mens’ 6.3K race in 10:19.6. Oregon won the six-team race with 24-points to Portland’s 31. Oregon’s women, led by Alessia Zarbo swept the 4.7K race in 16:10. The Ducks had a perfect score of 15, Portland second at 64. The Ducks are off until the Bill Dellinger Invite Sept. 23rd in Springfield. Oregon State’s women open the season Friday at the Viking Rust Buster in Portland.
