The Pacific Shores Photography Exhibition will open with a reception for all exhibiting artists and the general public at Coos Art Museum on Friday, December 12, 2014 from 5pm until 7pm. Photographers from Alaska, Washington, Oregon, California, and Hawaii, were invited to submit works for this exhibition. All forms of photographic expression from film-based to digital capture were encouraged and the works selected by jurors are on display in the museum’s Maggie Karl Gallery. The Pacific Shores jurors include: Don Briggs, a professional studio photographer living in Bellingham, Washington; Burl Noggle and Julie Noggle of Brown’s Studio, a photographic studio serving the Southern Oregon Coast for over fifty years; and Wood Sabold, a Bandon photographer whose works are published nationally. His with photo credits include the Audubon Society, Sierra Club, Outdoor Photographer, Coastal Living, and Oregon Coast Magazine. In addition to the Pacific Shores Photography exhibition in the main gallery works by the jurors will be on display in the adjacent Vaughan Gallery. Photography from the Boys & Girls Club Digital Arts Program will complement the other photography exhibitions. These works by local middle and high school students can be seen in the Clare Wehrle Community Gallery.
