Paving project begins on OR 429 Crescent Lake Highway, July 25

Crescent Lake – Beginning next week, OR 429 from Willamette Highway to Lava Odell Road (milepost 0.000 – milepost 2.390) will begin a month long highway paving project. The paving on OR 429 is a three-part process, which consists of a fine aggregate chip seal application, a course aggregate chip seal application, and finishing with a layer of asphalt concrete pavement over the top of the chip seal. The chip seal work will be intermittent due to a required 14-day curing time after each layer of chip seal is applied. Travelers should expect single lane closures as well as short delays, particularly on July 29 and August 12. Striping will occur after paving is completed and will also result in single lane closures and short delays. During the project, flaggers and pilot cars will direct traffic through the area. Temporary signs have been placed to warn travelers about the upcoming work. The project is to be completed by August 31.
