News Release CCSO. Coos County dispatchers have received several calls this weekend from residents receiving calls stating that they have missed jury duty, and will be arrested or fined. The party is calling from a number not associated with the Coos County Sheriff’s Office, and is using the name Deputy Jessica Parker, Deputy Brian Mitchell, or Lt. Barber. They are scammers, attempting to get money. Do not give them any information and hang up on them promptly. If someone calls you and you do not know them personally or you do not recognize the phone number, give them nothing. Call your local police if you have questions. Under no circumstance should you give them money, or follow their instructions.
