The Music Department at Southwestern Oregon Community College is pleased to announce that, thanks to the generous donation of a baby grand piano from Laura Jorgensen of Coos Bay, we will be offering this beautiful instrument up for raffle in order to help raise funds for our trip to the New York City Jazz Festival in April. Tickets are being offered at $50 each and only 75 tickets will be sold. The winner will be announced at a drawing which will be held on January 30, 2017. The winner will be notified by phone and need not be present at the drawing. Valued at $3,800, the piano is a 1928 Gulbransen baby grand in excellent condition and is on display in the lobby of Empire Hall on the Southwestern campus, 1988 Newmark Ave., Coos Bay. Tickets are available from any Southwestern Jazz Band and Vocal Jazz Ensemble member.
