Plane Crash, Feb. 7

A single-engine Cessna airplane, carrying just a pilot, crashed into Humboldt Bay at Eureka, CA Thursday morning Feb. 6. The pilot was reportedly trying to land at Murray Field in dense fog. Fire and rescue personnel responded about 7:24 a.m. The US Coast Guard dispatched a helicopter and a 29-foot Response Boat Small boatcrew. A small boat from the Humboldt Bay Port Authority rescued the uninjured pilot.
