Two Central Oregon Coast residents entered guilty pleas to the stealing and destruction of a granite plaque at the Taft High School football field in Lincoln City. Steven Sam Gilmore and Kristin M. Wilkinson pled guilty Dec. 11 to misdemeanor Second-Degree Criminal Mischief and Theft charges in a Lincoln County Circuit Court at Newport. Wilkinson was ordered to pay a $300 fine for stealing the plaque, and Gilmore another $300 for shooting the plaque with a rifle in an excavation yard. They were also ordered to pay joint restitution to the Lincoln Co. School District in the sum of $1,340.58 to replace the plaque.
