On Sunday, August 13, 2017, at 5:50 pm, the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a disturbance involving a firearm in the 24000-block of North Umpqua Highway in Idleyld Park. Deputies arrived on scene and determined 47 year-old William Douglas Watkins of Idlelyd Park had engaged in a disturbance with neighbors during which time he pointed a rifle at a female. Watkins was arrested and taken into custody for Menacing and Unlawful Use of a Weapon. He was lodged at the Douglas County Jail.
