On February 23, 2017 at approximately 3:30 PM the Coos County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a male subject pointing a firearm at several juveniles occurring in the Saunders Lake area of Hauser. It was reported that the male was Hispanic and was in a white Ford Explorer. Coos County Sheriff’s Deputies, Douglas County Sheriff’s Deputies, Oregon State Police and Confederated Tribal Police all had officers near the Community of Hauser and Saunders Lake and responded to the area in an attempt to locate the described vehicle. As officers were responding to the area it was also reported that the suspect vehicle had been involved in a hit and run accident on Wildwood Road in Hauser. At about 4:16 PM Officers located the vehicle in the Hauser area and contacted the operator of the vehicle, 27 year old Isidoro Hernandez of North Bend. Mr. Hernandez was arrested for two counts of menacing, two counts of pointing a Firearm at Another and Failure to Perform Duties of a Driver. Mr. Hernandez was transported to the Coos County Jail without incident and booked on the charges.
