Polar Bear Plunge, Jan. 1

Sunset Bay, west of Charleston, is the location of the annual Polar Bear New Year’s Day Plunge for Oregon’s Bay Area. Those wanting to get into the cold waters of the Pacific Ocean on New Year’s Day should gather at Sunset Bay by 9 a.m. to take the plunge.
