OSU release – CORVALLIS – For the second-straight week, Oregon State guard Jordan Pope has been named Pac-12 Freshman of the Week the conference office announced Monday. The honor is Pope’s third Freshman of the Week this season, the most in the conference. The guard scored 17 of his 19 points in the second half of Saturday’s win over Colorado, knocking down five 3-pointers in the contest. Overall, Pope finished the game 7-for-15 from the floor. He opened the week with an 11-point showing against Utah, hitting five on his 11 shot attempts in that contest. Pope is averaging 12.6 points per game this season, highest among Pac-12 freshmen by three points. He is also second amongst the conference’s freshmen in assists. The Beavers will hit the road this week to take on Arizona State on Thursday.
