Southwestern Oregon Community College’s Small Business Development Center (Southwestern SBDC) and DFM Consulting, Inc. are pleased to offer a dynamic series of 5 workshops designed to help enhance positive change in businesses and the community. The Positive Change Series takes participants on a journey moving from lineal “problem solving” to holistic “solution finding”. The series introduces a new framework for living life differently personally, within organizations and within communities. Participants will leave with a shared understanding of how they might shift their perspective and in doing so, create new solutions that they might not have thought possible. The Positive Change Series will be taught by Deborah Maher. With over 30 years of experience of working with organizations and communities, Deborah Maher brings humor, expertise and insights to clients and training participants. Her background in a range of settings from the corporate, nonprofit and public sectors enable her to understand the uniqueness of different environments. She has both a MBA and a Masters in Public Administration as well as certifications in Appreciative Inquiry, project management, facilitation and change management. A fee of $425 per person including materials, books, lunches and business counseling will be charged. Preregistration at www.BizCenter.org is required to insure seating availability and materials. The workshop will be held in Coos Bay at Southwestern Oregon Community College Hales Center, room Lakeview E & F. The series runs Saturdays, February 8 & 22; March 8 & 22; and April 12, 2014 from 9:00 am – 3:30 pm.
