More than 8,000 Pacific Power customers were without electricity for about a half-hour Saturday afternoon, Dec. 7, in Coos Bay. According to an entry on the Coos Bay Police log, which may be related, 4:21 p.m., Red Dike Road & Shingle House, “transformer blew & is on fire.”
