His high school roots are deep at Astoria on the North Oregon Coast. After leading the Fishermen into the state playoffs, he moved on to college in Corvallis where he played in the defensive backfield for the Beavers. Now, eight years later in the National Football League, 28-year old Jordan Poyer is at the top of his game. The Buffalo Bills, his team for the past three NFL seasons, have reportedly signed him to a two-year contract extension that will pay him $19.5 million with a $6.25 million signing/roster bonus. Poyer has averaged at least 100 tackles during his three-seasons in Buffalo.
