The 38th Annual Prefontaine Run is Saturday in Coos Bay. The high school 5K event begins at 9:45 a.m., followed by the walkers and 10K runners at 10 a.m. Everyone will start at Fourth St. & Anderson Ave. Ocean Blvd. will be closed during the race. All participants will finish inside Pete Susick Stadium at MHS on Prefontaine Track. Awards will be presented shortly after the races at the finish line. The Pre Run for Kids is Sunday, 1:30 p.m., check-ins begins at noon, behind the Coos Art Museum downtown Coos Bay, 3-mile run, free T-shirts while supplies last.
