More than 30 high school teams were represented at the 17th Annual Prefontaine/Rotary Track Meet in Coos Bay Saturday.  One meet record fell during the long day on Prefontaine Track, Ty Hampton, a sophomore at North Bend, threw the Javelin (191-08) one-foot further than the previous record in winning the event.  He was also second in the Discus Throw (145-0) and earned Outstanding Male Thrower honors for the meet.  Darian Mitchell of Douglas was named the Female Outstanding Thrower.  The senior won the Shot Put (37-03), and was second in the Javelin (111-02).  Darian Wilson of Coquille won three events, Javelin (126-05), Long Jump (16-11.50) and the Triple Jump (35-07).  The senior was named Outstanding Female Jumper.  Marshfield senior Trevor Johnson was named the Male Outstanding Jumper with a win in the Long Jump (21-01).  The Outstanding Runners were:  Female – Megan Miller, Pleasant Hill 100 (12.45 & 200 (25.90).  The senior also ran legs on the Billies’ that were third in the 4X100R & second in the 4X400R.  The Outstanding Male Runner was Kellen O’Neill of Arcata. The senior won both the Mile (4:26.97) and the 3000 (8:54.20).  Local individual winners, NBHS:  Ben Daily PV (14-06); Giovanni Byers HJ (6-00).  For MHS:  Khaley Aguilar PV (11-06); 4X400R (4:21.30 – Jazmin Chavez, Kaylee Delzotti, Khaley Aguilar, Tess Garrett); Jazmin Chavez 3K (11:32.90); Tristin Lemmons 300IH (41.90); 4X400R (3:34.20 – River Ginn-Forsberg, Trevor Johnson, Devin Benson, Zach Kellar).
