Marshfield’s baseball team dropped two-games on the rain-soaked turf field at the Newport Spring Break Invitational Wednesday. The Pirates lost their opener to Gladstone 10-6 and then fell 8-3 to Taft in the nightcap. The Pirates (2-2) are scheduled to host Brookings-Harbor on April 5th. North Bend got a couple of wins on Tuesday at the UVC Tournament in Roseburg. The Bulldogs beat Horizon Christian, Tualatin 5-2 and then Umpqua Valley Christian 5-4. North Bend (5-2) is scheduled to play at Ashland on April 2.
