North Bend beat visiting Junction City 6-5 Monday in a non-conference playoff tune-up game at Clyde Allen Field in North Bend. The two teams are headed for the playoffs, but the Bulldogs, the Far West League champions, have a bye from the “Play-In” round. South Umpqua beat Douglas 8-1 in another tune up game at Tri City Monday.

Marshfield and North Bend will meet for a fourth time this 2017 prep softball season. The two Bay Area Rivals will play a Tuesday night, 5 p.m., Oak Street Park Fields, North Bend. The two playoff bound teams have an extra play day on their schedules and wanted to tune up for this Thursday’s playoffs with an extra game.
