Marshfield’s girls won their first game of the young 2021 prep basketball season 47-32 at Brookings-Harbor Tuesday night. The Lady Pirates (1-1) head to their own South Coast Holiday Tournament on Thursday against Hidden Valley, 7 p.m.
South Coast Holiday Basketball Tournament
Eight-girls teams and eight boy’s teams are in the Bay Area for the annual South Coast Holiday Basketball Tournament at Marshfield High School Thursday through Saturday. The Pirates are the host team and both North Bend teams will participate this year. First round games on Thursday begin with the Brookings girls playing Junction City in the Marshfield Junior High at 4 p.m., while North Bend’s girls take on Crook County at 4 p.m. in the Pirate Palace. Also in the main gym, at 5:30 p.m., Crook Co. and North Bend’s boys play, followed by Marshfield’s girls and Hidden Valley at 7 p.m. and the Pirate boys against Hidden Valley at 8:30 p.m. to end the first day. Games on Friday begin at 8:30 a.m. in the Main Gym. Marshfield’s games will be broadcast live on FM 105.1, KMHS and streamed at www.kmhsonline.com
