Marshfield’s boys lost their “play-in” playoff game at La Grande Monday, 60-46. Pirates (11-15) were slightly ahead at half-time, but went cold in the third period and the Tigers (12-11) prevailed to move on to the OSAA First Round. North Bend’s boys (10-14) fell at Madras Monday, 64-50. The White Buffaloes (13-11) advance to the OSAA First Round.

Marshfield’s girls First Round opponent in the upcoming OSAA 4A basketball playoffs will be Molalla. The two teams will meet on Friday, March 3 at Coos Bay with the winner advancing to the 4A State Tournament at Forest Grove, March 9-11. No. 3 Corbett downed visiting Coquille 65-27 Monday in a 3A playoff. Corbett advances to the 3A Tournament at Coos Bay, Thursday, March 2, to play Nyssa at North Bend HS.
