At the OSAA/On Point Community Credit Union 3A Girl’s State Basketball Tournament Thursday at North Bend High School, No. 1 Banks downed No. 9 Lakeview 36-34; No, 5 Santiam Christian over No. 4 Amity 36-35; No. 3 Corbett beat No. 6 Nyssa 47-41; and, No. 2 Sutherlin over No. 7 Pleasant Hill 52-34. This morning’s consolation semi-finals at Marshfield begin at 8 a.m. with Lakeview vs. Amity and at 9:45 a.m., Pleasant Hill vs. Nyssa. Championship semi-finals are also at Marshfield with Santiam Christian vs. Banks at noon, and Sutherlin vs. Corbett at 1:45 p.m. Championship Saturday will be held at Marshfield beginning at 9 a.m., the championship game is set for 5:45 p.m.

At the OSAA/On Point Community Credit Union 3A Boy’s State Basketball Tournament Thursday at Marshfield High School, Coos Bay, No. 1 Westside Christian downed No. 8 Pleasant Hill 72-56; No. 5 Oregon Episcopal 61, No. 4 Banks 47; No. 6 Cascade Christian 65, No. 3 Dayton 48; and, No. 2 De La Salle North Catholic 63, Creswell 51. Today’s consolation semi-finals at North Bend have Pleasant Hill vs. Banks at 9 a.m., and Creswell vs. Dayton at 10:45 a.m. The championship semi-finals will be played at Marshfield. At 4:15 p.m., Oregon Episcopal vs. Westside Christian and at 6 p.m. Cascade Christian vs. De La Salle North Catholic. Trophy Day Saturday will begin at 10:45 a.m. at Marshfield with consolation finals and the championship game set for 8:30 p.m.
OSAA 2A Gbxb Tourney
At the 2A OSAA/On Point Community Credit Union Girls Basketball Tournament, Pendleton, No. 6 Bandon fell to No. 3 Stanfield 43-34. The Tigers will play Colton at 10:45 a.m., Friday in a consolation semi-final.

Marshfield’s girls will host Molalla in an OSAA First Round 4A basketball playoff game Friday, 8:30 p.m., Pirate Palace, Coos Bay. The winner advances to the 4A State Tournament at Forest Grove HS March 9-11.
