MHS Bxb All League
Marshfield’s girls were co-champions in 4A District 4 this season. The Lady Pirates are the only league team to advance to the OSAA/On Point Community Credit Union 4A Basketball Tournament at Forest Grove HS, Thursday through Saturday, March 9-11. No. 4 Marshfield (18-7) will play No. 5 Henley (17-8) at 3:15 p.m. on Thursday. All League players for the Lady Pirates have been announced: Senior Kate Miles co-Player of the Year & 1st Team along with Faith Marshall, JC; sophomore Tatum Montiel 1st Team; junior Paige MacDuff 1st Team; and, senior Trinity Barker 1st Team. Junior Gracie Peach 2nd Team & All Defensive Team. Marshfield coach Doug Miles was honored as co-Coach of the Year along with Merideth Laing, Junction City. Marshfield’s boys had sophomore Steele Carpenter on the 2nd Team along with senior Kai Johnson. Senior Mitchell George was on the All-Defense Team.
NBHS Bxb All League
North Bend junior Paolo Flores was named to the Sky-Em Boys Basketball League’s 1st Team in voting by the league’s coaches following the end of the regular season. Bulldog junior Jalen Riddle was named Honorable Mention & All Defensive Team. North Bend’s girls landed freshman Carley Lucero on the 2nd Team, and freshman Erika McClintock to the 2nd Team. Lucero was also on the All Defensive Team.
