Marshfield split their season opener with visiting Sutherlin Thursday. The Lady Pirates lost to the Bulldogs 60-36, but the Marshfield boys prevailed 51-46. North Bend will host Siuslaw in prep basketball Friday. Varsity girls 5:45 p.m., followed by the varsity boys. Marshfield’s girls host Brookings-Harbor, 5:30 p.m. JV, followed by the varsity girls. Broadcast on FM 105.1, KMHS. The Pirate boys will play at Churchill Saturday, 5 p.m., broadcast on FM 105.1 KMHS.
