North Bend and Marshfield are hosting OSAA First Round 4A Football playoff games tonight in the Bay Area. The Bulldogs (7-0) will take on La Grande (4-5) at Vic Adams Field, while the Pirates (7-2) play Banks (6-3) at Pete Susick Stadium in Coos Bay. Both games kickoff at 7 p.m. The Far West League’s other entry into post season play, So. Umpqua (5-3), hosts Baker (7-2) on Saturday, 2 p.m., in Tri City. Also on Saturday, Powers (8-1) will host Adrian (4-4), 1 p.m., in a 1A playoff game inside Pete Susick Stadium at MHS. Coquille (9-0) opens the 3A playoffs at home to St. Mary’s of Medford (6-3) Friday, 7 p.m.

Both of North Bend’s cross country teams, as well as Marshfield’s boys and two Lady Pirates (Jazmin Chavez & Kaylee Delzotti) will run at the 2016 OSAA State Cross Country Championships in Eugene Saturday. The 4A races begin at 11 a.m. at Lane Community College.
