Marshfield’s girls lost 42-30 Saturday to visiting Marist Catholic from Eugene in a District 4 prep basketball game at Coos Bay. The Lady Pirates (1-2, 1-4) are scheduled to host Elmira Tuesday. In other District 4 games, Cottage Grove (3-0) moved into first place with a 53-38 win at Junction City (2-1) also Saturday. North Bend’s girls beat visiting Myrtle Pt. 50-30 Friday and then won at Reedsport Saturday 47-27. The Bulldogs (4-1) are scheduled to host Coquille, Monday, 5 p.m.
