Marshfield’s softball team opened the 2021 prep season with a 22-8 lost to visiting Elmira Tuesday at Coos Head Field in Coos Bay. The Lady Pirates (0-1) are scheduled to play at Junction City Friday. Visiting Bandon beat North Bend 5-3 at the Oak Street Park Field. The Bulldogs (0-1) are scheduled to host Sutherlin on April 19.
