District 4 softball champion Marist Catholic swept Marshfield Friday 12-3 & 8-0 in prep action at the Coos Head Field in Coos Bay. The Lady Pirates finish the regular season in second-place with a 10-5 record. The 4A Classification’s state playoffs begin Tuesday. District 4 champion Marist Catholic hosts Mazama in Eugene. North Bend swept a doubleheader with Douglas Friday at the Oak St. Fields, 15-2, 15-0. The Bulldogs completed the regular season Saturday with a 15-0 loss at home to Roseburg. Bulldogs finish with a 6-8 record.
