Marshfield is No. 8 in this week’s OSAA/Coach’s 4A weekly basketball poll. The Pirates (9-4) trail top-ranked Baker (16-0), Junction City (12-1), Cascade (7-2), North Marion (9-3) and No. 5 Astoria (10-1). Cascade Christian leads the 3A poll. The Challengers (6-5) are followed by Westside Christian (11-3), Pleasant Hill (10-3), De La Salle North Catholic (8-5), and Douglas (9-2). The 3A State Tournament will be held at Marshfield and North Bend HS Feb. 29-March 2. No other South Coast teams were ranked.
