OSAA 3A State Basketball Tournament
The first day of the OSAA 3A Girl’s Basketball Tournament was held at Marshfield HS. In championship quarter-finals, Corbett beat Westside Christian 60-45; Vale over Banks 40-28; Amity downed Nyssa 62-38; and, Sutherlin won the day’s final game 48-32 over Creswell. The championship semi-finals Friday have Vale vs. Corbett at 6:30p & Amity vs. Sutherlin at 8:15p. Consolation semi-finals this morning at NBHS have Westside Christian vs. Banks at 9a & Nyssa vs. Creswell at 10:45a. Boys’ 3A first day at NBHS, Westside Christian beat Neah-Kah-Nie 67-39; Harrisburg 44, Burns 29; Cascade Christian 78, De La Salle North Catholic 60; and, Valley Catholic 62, Dayton 55. Championship semi-finals at MHS today have Harrisburg vs. Westside Christian at 1:30p & Cascade Christian vs. Valley Catholic at 3:15 p.m. Consolation semi-finals at MHS this morning have Burns vs. Neah-Kah-Nie at 9a and Dayton vs. De La Salle North Catholic at 10:45a. All games on Saturday will be played at MHS.

Bandon’s girls won their opening game at the OSAA 2A State Basketball Tournament at Pendleton Thursday. The Tigers beat Oakridge 34-23 and will face Regis, Friday, March 1st, 8:15 p.m., on the OSAA Radio Network at www.osaa.org.
