The Oregon Schools Activities Association (OSAA) first prep baseball coach’s poll has been released for the 2024 season. Scappoose holds down the top spot among 4A schools. Banks leads the 3A Poll, and Brookings-Harbor is No. 3. Bandon/Pacific is No. 5 in the 2A/1A Poll, and Reedsport is No. 10.

The OSAA first prep softball polls for the 2024 season have been released. The Dalles/Dufur leads the 4A Poll. Bandon/Pacific was among the teams listed as “Others receiving significant votes” in the 2A/1A Poll.

North Bend’s softball team is scheduled to host Klamath Union, Wednesday, 1:30 p.m. at the Oak Street Fields. The Bulldogs will then host Newport at 4 p.m. Marshfield’s softball team is scheduled to play Wednesday, 4:30 p.m., at Brookings-Harbor. In 2A/1A – Gold Beach at Illinois Valley JV, 2:30p & 4:30p.

Big Mike’s South Coast Basketball All-Stars
The annual Big Mike’s South Coast Basketball All- Star games were held Sunday at Southwestern Oregon Community College. Players are nominated by their coaches and then divided into two teams for a pair of season-ending games on the Coos Bay Campus. Boys: Blue wins 79-64.
