North Bend’s varsity softball game scheduled for Tuesday at North Eugene was re-scheduled for Wednesday, 5 p.m., due to the weather. Marshfield’s softball team had a “walk-off win” 10-9 over visiting Cottage Grove Tuesday at Southwestern Oregon CC in a 4A District 4 League opener for both teams. The Lady Pirates (1-0, 5-6) are scheduled to play at top-ranked Marist Catholic Thursday, 2 & 4 p.m.

Marshfield’s baseball team opened 4A District 4 play with a 10-2 win over visiting Cottage Grove Tuesday, Coos Bay. The Pirates (1-0, 5-5) are scheduled to play at Marist Catholic, Eugene, Thursday, April 14.
