Two road trips and two wins for the North Bend basketball teams. The Bulldog boys bettered South Umpqua at Tri-City Thursday 50-38. North Bend (2-0) is scheduled to host Hidden Valley, Saturday, 5 p.m. The Bulldog girls won 51-37 over South Umpqua. Like the boys, the girls (2-0) will also host Hidden Valley, Saturday, 3:30 p.m.

Marshfield’s girls travel to Madras for a prep tournament this weekend. The Lady Pirates open Friday, 6 p.m., against Astoria.

Both North Bend and Marshfield’s wrestling teams will open the 2022/23 prep season at the Battle at the Border Tournament, Del Norte HS, Crescent City, CA on Saturday.
