It’s the final prep basketball games of the regular season for both North Bend and Marshfield and the two meet at the Pirate Palace, Coos Bay Friday night. The Marshfield girls are looking to clinch at least a co-championship for the league title with Marist Catholic who visits Cottage Grove in the finale. The boy’s game has playoff seeding implications. Third-place is still up for grabs with Cottage Grove (2-5, 10-12) holding on, but the Lions host second-place Marist Catholic (5-2, 11-11) Friday. If the Lions fall, the Pirates (1-6, 10-13) and Bulldogs (2-5, 8-12) are looking to move up in the OSAA Power Rankings depending upon who can win the Bay Area Rivalry Game.
