Marshfield’s baseball team opened the 2022 prep season with a 21-0 (5) win over North Valley at Grants Pass Wednesday. The Pirates (1-0) are scheduled to play Cascade at Cottage Grove on Friday, 4 p.m. North Bend opened the 2022 prep season with a 10-6 win at Cottage Grove Wednesday. The Bulldogs (1-0) are scheduled to host Crater on Friday, 2 & 4 p.m. at Clyde Allen Field.

Marshfield’s boys varsity golf team has a match at Bandon Trails Golf Course, Thursday, 11 a.m. Girls tennis, 4 p.m., vs. Junction City a the Boys & Girls Club, and varsity track, 4 p.m. on Prefontaine Track at MHS.
