North Bend had several event winners at the Siuslaw Icebreaker track meet at Florence Thursday. Senior Brody Justice took the Long Jump (19-02), sophomore Connor Macbeth won the Triple Jump (34-01), and junior Jason Padgett won the 100 (11.39). Freshman Ellie Massey won the girl’s 1500 (5:24.05), and sophomore Emma Slade won the High Jump (4-06). North Bend was second in both team races with Coquille winning the girl’s portion and Siuslaw the boys’. North Bend’s vaulters will next compete in the 2nd Annual Florence Street Vault on Wednesday, March 29, and the next meet for the Bulldogs will be April 4th at Junction City.

North Bend softball heads south to California to play Chico HS on Friday, 4 p.m. The Bulldogs have three games scheduled for Saturday at the Anderson High Invite, Anderson HS, Redding, CA, 11 a.m. vs. Shasta, 2 p.m. vs. Las Plumas, and 5 p.m. vs. Anderson Union. Marshfield softball travels to Newport Saturday to play the Cubs at 1 p.m. and Tillamook at 3 p.m.
