Marshfield dropped out of the OSAA/Coach’s 4A Softball Poll this week. The Pirates are 3-4 on the season. Marist Catholic (3-1) is ranked first, and Junction City (3-2) is No. 9. South Umpqua (8-0) tops the 3A Poll, with Brookings-Harbor (4-2) No. 9.

Marshfield’s baseball team beat visiting Reedsport 12-6 Wednesday in the Pirates’ home opener for the 2022 prep season. The Pirates (3-2) are scheduled to host Brookings-Harbor Friday, 4:30 p.m.
