Marshfield and North Bend’s girls are tied for seventh after the first day of the OSAA 4A/3A/2A/1A State Golf Championships at Trysting Tree Golf Course, Corvallis, Monday. Crook Co. leads with a 359 first day total. Dufur is second with 363, followed by Banks (378), Marist Catholic (383), La Pine (384) and then the Pirates and Bulldogs with 398 each. Esha Reddy, a junior at Marist Catholic, tops the leader board with a first day total of 70. Marshfield’s Bella Roberts is tied for 14th (90). North Bend’s Jordyn Prince is tied for 28th (96). Baker/Powder Valley leads the 4A boys after the first day with a 309 total. North Bend is sixth (342) & Marshfield eighth (361). North Bend sophomore Owen Bascom tops the leaderboard with a first-day total of 70. Marshfield senior Oscar Day leads the Pirates with a 78, tied for tenth.

OSAA State Band
North Bend’s band wasn’t the only OSAA State Champion from the South Coast at the recent championships. Bandon, under the direction of Dave Weston, also captured first-place in the 2A/1A Division at the LaSells Stewart Center, Oregon State University campus, Corvallis.
