OSAA State Choir Championships
The Oregon Schools Activities Association (OSAA) 4A State Choir Championships are Friday, May 5th, LaSells Stewart Center, Oregon State University campus, Corvallis. Marshfield, under the direction of Brett Aakre, will perform at 10:40 a.m.; North Bend, under the direction of Janet A. Lea, will perform at noon. Awards will be presented at 1:40 p.m. Results will be available at www.osaa.org.
District GGF
Both North Bend and Marshfield girl’s golf teams qualified for State following District competition at SandPines, Florence. Marist Catholic took first place, followed by St. Mary’s Medford, North Bend and Marshfield. Marist Catholic junior Esha Reddy was the medalist with rounds of 81 & 80 for a 161. North Bend senior Kamryn Craig led the Bulldogs in 8th place (94, 104), and Marshfield sophomore Bella Roberts led the Pirates in sixth place (98. 87).
Prep Golf
Marshfield and North Bend’s boys golf teams travel to District play at the Tokatee Golf Course, Blue River, on Friday and Saturday.

Marshfield’s softball team stepped out of 4A District 4 play Thursday at 3A Glide and lost 6-3 to the Wildcats (10-5). The Lady Pirates (15-6) next play at Marist Catholic, Eugene, Tuesday, 5 p.m.
