Marshfield advanced to the OSAA 4A football quarter-finals with a 43-0 win over visiting Madras Friday at Pete Susick Stadium, Coos Bay. The Pirates (10-0) will host Henley (9-1), a 35-14 winner over Tillamook Friday, Nov. 12, 7 p.m.

Marshfield’s Alexander Garcia Silver won the OSAA 4A Boy’s Cross Country title Saturday at Lane CC in Eugene. The junior was time in 16:02.2 over the 5K course. Siuslaw swept both the boys’ and girls’ 4A championships. Bandon won the girls 3A/2/1A championship. The Tiger boys were second to Union in their race.
