Marshfield defeated Marist Catholic in three-straight in 4A District 4 volleyball at Eugene Thursday. The Lady Pirates (5-3, 8-5) will host their own tournament Saturday in Coos Bay. North Bend also got a road win Thursday. The Bulldogs bettered Ashland 3-2 in a 5A Midwestern League match in Southern Oregon. North Bend (12-1, 14-1) will also compete in Saturday’s Marshfield Invite.

Marshfield plays at Tillamook in a non-league 4A prep football game Friday. Kickoff 7 p.m. and the game will be broadcast by FM 105.1 KMHS, streamed at www.kmhsonline.com North Bend is scheduled to host Willamette in a 5A Midwestern League game at Vic Adams Field. Kickoff at 7 p.m.

Marshfield’s cross-country team is scheduled to run at the Lewis & Clark Invite Saturday in the Portland area. North Bend runs on Oct. 20 at the Umpqua Invite.

North Bend’s girls are scheduled to play a 5A Midwestern League soccer match at Crater, Central Pt., Saturday, noon. The Bulldog boys will follow against the Comets at 2 p.m.
