Marshfield and Marist Catholic will meet for the 4A District 4 football title Friday, Oct. 29 in Coos Bay after both teams won their home games Friday. The top-ranked Pirates (3-0, 10-0) downed North Eugene 57-15 at Pete Susick Stadium, while the Spartans (3-0, 7-1) beat Elmira 42-6 at Eugene. North Bend fell 41-6 at Eagle Pt. Friday. The Bulldogs (2-4, 2-5) end the regular season Friday at home to Thurston.

North Bend wrapped up the 2021 prep volleyball regular season Saturday with a 3-0 win over visiting Springfield. The Bulldogs (15-1, 20-1) finish tied with Churchill (15-1, 15-3) of Eugene for first place in the 5A Midwestern League. The two teams split their regular season matches.
