Marshfield lost 3-2 in a District 4 prep volleyball match to visiting Junction City Tuesday at the Pirate Palace in Coos Bay. The Lady Pirates (3-2, 6-4) are scheduled to host league leader Cottage Grove (5-0, 10-2) on Thursday. North Bend beat visiting Eagle Pt. 3-0 in a 5A Midwestern League match. The Bulldogs (10-1, 12-1) are scheduled to play at Crater on Oct. 12.

Marshfield remains the top-ranked 4A football team in this week’s OSAA Coach’s Poll. Estacada moves into No. 2, while Marist Catholic is No. 3, Cascade No. 4 and Mazama No. 5. The top four teams are all 5-0, while Mazama is 3-2.
