No. 1 Henley (28-1) knocked North Bend (16-9) from the 2024 OSAA/On Point Community Credit Union 4A baseball playoffs Friday with a 4-1 win over the visiting Bulldogs. The Hornets advance to the championship semi-finals to face No. 4 Marist Catholic (19-9), Tuesday, May 28, 5 p.m. Brookings-Harbor advanced to the 3A semi-finals with a 9-1 win, Friday at home over North Valley (16-12). The No. 9 Bruins (19-7) will travel to No. 4 Pleasant Hill (21-6), Tuesday, May 28.

North Bend’s Reagan Farm won the OSAA/OnPoint Community Credit Union Girl’s 4A/3A/2A/1A Tennis Singles Championship Saturday, May 25, at the OSU Tennis Center, Corvallis. The Bulldog sophomore defeated Klamath Union senor Patricia Dougherty 6-3, 6-1 in the finals. Farm, seeded second to Dougherty entering the championships, had a bye in the first round, beat Lexi Mills, St. Mary’s 6-0, 6-0 in the quarter-final round. She then handled Whitney Hedden, Marist Catholic, 6-2, 6-1 in the semi-finals setting up the match with Dougherty, whom she beat in the District Finals, for the championship. Marshfield’s girls’ doubles team of M. Picatti and Gwen Button had a bye in the first round, but lost in the second round to a team from Crook Co., 6-2, 6-2. In the consolation bracket, the two again had a bye, but fell in the Consolation Semi-Finals to a team from Sisters, 9-7. Marshfield’s boys’ double team lost in the first round to a team from Oregon Episcopal, 6-7, 7-6 (4), 6-3. In the Consolation Bracket, the two lost to a team from Crook Co., 8-2.
