Marshfield’s girls downed visiting Junction City 3-1 in a District 4 soccer match at Pete Susick Stadium, Coos Bay, Tuesday. The Lady Pirates (1-0, 4-2-1) are scheduled to play at Cottage Grove, Thursday, 5:30p. Marshfield’s boys also beat JC Tuesday at home, 6-2. The Pirates (1-0, 1-4) are scheduled to play at Cottage Grove, Thursday, 7:30p. North Bend’s boys and girls are scheduled to play at Junction City, 5:30p & 7:30p.

Marshfield has jumped back into the OSAA/Coaches 4A weekly prep football poll as the No. 10 team. The Pirates are 2-1. Unbeaten Mazama (3-0) tops the list followed by Estacada (2-1), Pendleton/Nixyaawii (2-1), Henley (3-0) & Marist Catholic (2-1). Unbeaten Coquille (3-0) in No. 9 in the 3A Poll.
