Marshfield remains unbeaten on the young prep volleyball seasons after a couple of 3-0 sweeps in smoky Southern Oregon Thursday. The Lady Pirates beat the host Phoenix Pirates 25-21, 27-25, 25-9 and then followed with a win over 6A South Medford 25-22, 25-8, 25-21. Marshfield (3-0) hosts Creswell & No. Valley, Sept. 11. North Bend fell 3-2 at Springfield (23-25, 25-23, 22-25, 25-20, 15-13). The Bulldogs (0-3, 0-4) is scheduled to host Eagle Pt. on Tuesday, Sept. 4.
