Marshfield lost two District 4 volleyball matches at Cottage Grove Friday. The Lions won the first match 3-0 and took the second 3-1. The Lady Pirates (1-2, 1-5) are scheduled to play at Siuslaw in Florence Tuesday. North Bend opened the prep special season Saturday at Gold Beach with a couple of wins. The Lady Bulldogs downed Reedsport 2-0 and Myrtle Point 2-1. North Bend (2-0) is scheduled to next play March 26 at Brookings-Harbor.
