Marshfield defeated visiting Marist Catholic 3-1 in a District 4 prep volleyball match at the Pirate Palace, Coos Bay, Tuesday. The Lady Pirates (2-1, 5-3) are scheduled to host Elmira, Wednesday, JV match at 5 p.m., followed by the varsity match. North Bend’s volleyball team remains perfect on the year with a 3-0 win at Willamette in Eugene in a 5A Midwestern League match at Eugene Tuesday. The Bulldogs (8-0, 10-0) are scheduled to host Churchill on Thursday, 6:45 p.m., varsity match.
